GET PAID TO REVIEW MUSIC

GET PAID TO REVIEW MUSIC

I actually get paid to review music online as a way of bumping up my weekly income. A lot of people seem to overlook this process and go straight for the mundane jobs. I couldn’t create this site without letting you know about this cool opportunity.
On Slice The Pie you get paid to review music no matter what musical experience you have. I know it sounds to good to be true but that is exactly how the site works. I have personally been paid on numerous occasions by there has never been any sort of problem with them. It is a top, top online earning site in my opinion and it seems to go from strength to strength.
Whats really cool about this site is that it was set up to help new artists get their music reviewed. The fact that it has become an excellent online income source is just a bonus really. As I pointed out earlier, you do not need to be a musical expert to take part in this process. All Slice The Pie wants is your honest opinion on the songs it plays you.
You are not going to earn a fortune for submitting a review on this site – far from it. What you earn per review depends on the quality and length of the review. If you keep submitting reviews with poor grammar and a lot of spelling mistakes then you are going to get paid a poor amount as a result. Also, the longer and in depth your review the more money you will make for it.
When you get paid to review music it is much more fulfilling than completing tedious online tasks. A lot of the mini jobs offered by online earning sites are pretty boring work after an hour or so. Reviewing music has an element of fun about it and the more you get into it the more you get paid! My advice is to take the job seriously and listen to each song properly – the more you have to say in your review the more you are going to get paid at the end of it.
Slice The Pie is a great earning opportunity - get paid to review music and have fun at the same time. Let’s look at the site in a little more detail….

HOW SLICE THE PIE WORKS

So lets have a look at how Slice The Pie works. First of all it is a company that is based in the UK. It has the appearance of being from the US because it pays in US dollars but it is an English based company. It switched from paying in pounds a couple of years back to have more appeal to the US market and musicians. Bear in mind Slice The Pie is not a new site – it has been around 2007 which is a really good sign for stability.
So this is how Slice The Pie works. Artists or bands submit their music to the site to be reviewed and pay a small fee for this service. We are what you call scouts – scouts then review the submitted songs and give them a rating out 10. These reviews must also contain information on what you liked and what you did not like about the song. Basically the more feedback you can give to the artist the better.
You as a scout are paid for each review you give. The more time and effort you put into the review the more you will be paid for each review. To make sure each review is as fair as possible you will not find out the name of the song or the artist until after each review is submitted.
the artists that receive the best average of good reviews get the opportunity to have some studio time, in other words they get an album made. So don’t be flippant about your reviews – take them seriously and do a good job on each one ( more importantly enjoy each one to ). If a song is good them make sure you say so, if a song sucks then make sure you say so to.
Slice The Pie pays you when you reach $10 through Paypal. I know a lot of users who earn much more than this daily but they do put a shift in. They pay out on time every Tuesday and Friday and I am yet to encounter any payment problems.
So this is how Slice The Pie works! It’s a simple idea carried out perfectly for musicians and scouts – both parties get a good service. Below I will cover the do’s and don’ts of the Slice The Pie reviewing process.

WRITING A SLICE THE PIE REVIEW

There are a few things you should keep in mind when writing a Slice The Pie review. First of all you are able to write the review as you are listening to the tune. This is very handy as you can comment on each element as it is happening. Bear in mind, you cannot submit a review until you have listened to at least 90 seconds of the song.
When writing a Slice The Pie review remember to comment on a the following elements every time. First of all the intro of the song – every song has an intro so comment on it. Was the intro dynamic or to soft? Did it lead into the first verse well? Did it excite you or was it a little flat of energy?
Always be as descriptive as possible when writing a Slice The Pie review. By this I mean try and find words that are a good fit and do not be repetitive. For example if there are a lot of positive points to the song do not keep using the word ‘good’. Try using ‘impressive’ or ‘enjoyable’, using ‘good’ about five times in the post is not going to increase your payment.
Unfortunately, when writing a Slice The Pie review you are unable to pick and choose the genre. Songs are randomly thrown at you from all different types of genre and this can prove to be a bit of a problem. Personally I do not get on with hip hop or rap that well. This means that I do not know as much about this music genre as I do about other genres so my reviews suffer a little because of this. I always have a lot more to say about music enjoy and I always get paid a higher rate because of this. Even if you hate the genre grit your teeth and try to write as much as possible every time.
Formulate a plan that you will take into every review – jot it down on a piece of paper. For example:
  • Start with the intro
  • Give your impressions on the vocals
  • What’s the chorus like?
  • What’s the beat like? Is the drummer any good or not?
  • Are the band a tight unit?
  • What is production like?
  • How much of chance does the song have of making it big?
Take all these tings into account when writing a Slice The Pie review and you will earn more money. Now and again Slice The Pie give you the opportunity to review new songs by well known artists. These songs always remain anonymous but they are easy to spot as they pay much more.
