If you are a frequent email user, you must receive emails on a regular basis regarding different offers of work at home, and each offer promises to make you a millionaire in a few weeks time.  Following are some common work at home scams.
Envelope Stuffing Jobs
Envelope stuffing jobs are considered as the most frequently occurred work at home scam. You will find a job ad in which it is mentioned that you can make a few hundred dollars in an hour by just stuffing the envelopes. When you apply for this job you will be asked to place an ad, and the expense of that ad will be paid by you. Through this ad you are actually scamming the other people.
Email Processing Jobs
This is another type of envelope stuffing jobs, but in this type of scam, the scammers use email instead of the ad. In this scam you will be asked to pay a fee which normally ranges between $10 to $40, and you will be asked to send the same ad through emails to other people.
Typists
No doubt that the legitimate positions of home based typing work are available, but none of these legitimate job asks you to pay money to start working as a typist. Besides that, there is lots of competition in legitimate online typist jobs so it is never easy to get. This is also another variation of envelope stuffing, and email processing scams.
List of Companies That Provide Home Based Work
A number of people got scammed on the name of list of home based job companies. You are promised to get a list of hundreds of companies that provide guaranteed home based work. You have to pay a fee to get this list of the companies, but actually the list is prepared from telephone or internet directories. Many of the companies mentioned on the list does not exist at all, and if there are few exist, it is not necessary that they give you a legitimate online work.
Reading the Books Jobs
This is the variation of the list of companies scam in which you will be promised to be provided the list of publishers that pay you a handsome amount of money just for reading their books online. If you search yourself on the web, you can easily find all the information yourself which is mentioned on the list, so you need to avoid such type of offers.
Chain Letter
Often you have seen a $6 chain letter offer in your Inbox. This is a chain type of letter which is one of the most common online scam.
All the above mentioned scams are very popular, and the frequency of such online scams is increasing with each day. You need to be very careful before paying anyone on the internet in order to avoid these common scams.
